The inception of Northland Agricultural Company in 2019 marked the establishment of an entity that engaged in gricultural activities across multiple geographical regions, including Turkey, Europe, Egypt, Kurdistan, and Iraq. The company forged collaborative partnerships with various entities, notably including GreenIraq, Pepsi Co.
Northland successfully planted 3,000 tons of high-quality potato seeds across the main agricultural hubs of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk, Mosul, and Anbar. Through the use of modern farming techniques, efficient irrigation systems, and strong partnerships with local farmers, this large-scale initiative resulted in a remarkable harvest of 40,000 tons of potatoes.
This achievement highlights Northland’s strong commitment to strengthening Iraq’s agricultural sector, while also supporting food security and contributing to the growth of the national economy. By expanding cultivation across multiple provinces, Northland not only increased production but also created jobs and opportunities that benefit rural communities throughout the country.
Looking ahead, Northland is determined to expand production capacity. By 2026, we plan to plant 5,000 tons of potato seeds across Iraq, increasing both the scale and efficiency of cultivation. This strategy will be supported by the introduction of advanced seed varieties, innovative storage solutions, and sustainable farming practices to ensure higher yields and a consistent supply for both local and regional markets
